You can’t disobey God without loving something more than him. Can a person love God with all their heart, might, mind, and strength and still choose to do something other than what he wants, as far as they understand? To love someone is to prioritize them above everything and everyone. The Lord said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15) If you don’t keep Jesus’ commandments, you don’t love him. Whatever you prioritize above obedience to God is what you prioritize above God.555
