God’s power co-exists with his character; it only exists in those who share his character, and to the extent they do. Can you do what God does? If you find yourself unable to do what you sincerely believe the Lord would in your place, you are either incorrect in what he would do, or too different from him in character to accomplish it. Either way, you should assume that your understanding of what is good is equally different from God’s as your power is from his.
