To write a goal, describe the conditions under which the goal will be considered achieved. A goal consists of measurable and specific criteria that describe the finished state of the goal.
A good goal answers the question: “What is the best outcome worth accomplishing?” In the life plan, each of your goals should help convincingly persuade you that you are advancing your purpose to the greatest possible degree.
Often, goals will include constraints that set boundaries on how the goal will be accomplished. Perhaps the most common constraint is a deadline, which some people find helps them accomplish more in less time. Other constraints could indicate what resources you must or can’t use in accomplishing the goal.
