If you are bothered by something, say something. You can do so strategically by choosing the best time and place instead of doing so in the moment, but don’t let things slide. You may believe that withholding how you really think and feel is righteousness, but you are really only practicing deceit. Jesus engaged those around him when what they did bothered him. Jeremiah spoke of fire in his bones preventing him from remaining silent.1 There are many such cases throughout scripture where righteous people acted righteously in speaking out about what bothered them. If you care enough to be bothered, care enough to confront.
